Deeper Repairs
Repair is in many ways a philosophy, and there are disputes between the proper way to do things when it comes to speed versus cost. Here at Dantech, we perform what we call "deep repairs". For example, if you bring us a broken VCR with a disk drive that won't move, some repair companies may open the VCR, remove the entire disk drive, and buy a new one to install. This is the fastest repair if you have the parts, but it costs the customer the most money. Other companies may open up the VCR and then open up the drive and replace the broken part. We go one step farther: we will open everything up until we find the critical error point, then attempt to repair that part without ordering a new one. This allows us to remain the most cost-effective option, and still very quick.
